Position Overview:
Know Your Customer (KYC) Operations at Deutsche Bank is a vital part of the firm’s first line of defense against financial crime. This team ensures efficient onboarding and maintenance of client relationships while delivering high-quality reference data across Corporate & Investment Banking.
Within KYC, the KYC Transformation team is responsible for driving process improvements, ensuring global consistency, and delivering automation solutions that reduce manual effort and enhance efficiency.
As a Data Automation Engineer, you will focus on building innovative automation solutions that streamline operations, eliminate repetitive tasks, and enhance the stability of strategic data pipelines. This role requires proficiency in technologies like Python, VBA, SQL, MS Power Platforms, and SharePoint, with an emphasis on delivering solutions that can scale across business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and design effective business solutions.
- Build and deploy automation to reduce manual effort and speed up workflows.
- Deliver proof-of-concept and production-ready solutions using Python, VBA, SQL, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
- Share and re-use automation solutions across teams to maximize impact.
- Document solutions (requirements, design documents, test scripts, JIRA tickets, post-go-live knowledge support documents).
- Provide L1 support for existing RPA solutions, ensuring fast issue resolution and business continuity.
- Work closely with architects and analysts to contribute to solution designs.

Requirements:
- Strong expertise in Python, VBA, SQL for building efficient automation solutions.
- Hands-on experience with MS Power Apps, MS Power Automate, or RPA tools.
- Familiarity with ETL technologies and process re-engineering.
- Exposure to workflow solutions like Alteryx, Pentaho, Celonis, and knowledge of Linux or database tuning is desirable.
- Ability to analyze complex processes, create automation workflows, and support business operations.
- Strong documentation skills and comfort working in Agile environments.
